Missed part 1? With all the cold, the humidity drops, and newly dry skin, skincare is going to be key!

Now finally on to makeup!
Let’s start with eyes.
If your eyeliner & mascara are working for you, keep it up! If you find them running from those windblown tears, stepping up the “waterproofness” of your formulas can be just the thing. I wouldn’t go all out with the waterproof - especially with mascara- for every day as that can compromise your lashes, but something I’ll call “semi waterproof” might be perfect Static Pro Volume Mascara 2 (semi-waterproof)

Keeping that eyeshadow flake-free from the cold, and locking in that moisture is going to be key over here. Using a cream eyeshadow like Indelible Cream Eye Shadow is going to be your best friend. And choosing colors that will complement your winter wardrobe and newly faded suntan will be key here. Colors like nude frost, your majesty, and immortal can go great with the new look!

Now for your face. Your beautiful (and perhaps whiter) face.
If you are using a glowy primer like the Saphyre one Saphyre by Tova Angel Glow Primer , keep it up! If you are using a more mattifying primer and find your face is looking crustier by the day, you may want to reconsider…

Now onto foundation…
You may want to re-think your summer color. So many of us want to be as dark as we can pull off- understood. Hear me out for a second tho. if you are using a warm (orangy - let’s call it what it is) foundation, it can look very off in the winter especially next to your adorable deep blue cardigan. (Or your other winter clothes for that matter)
Also, if you are using a color that isn’t exactly yours- you’ll need to bring that foundation all the way down to your shirt’s neck. That might make issues with washing all that makeup out of your turtleneck…😔
So choosing a color that isn’t exactly yours as similar to your color is key. (If you need help choosing, send a pic of yourself to our email info@tovabeauty.com and write in the subject line : please fwd to Tova for foundation color recommendation)
And… a little treat because you actually heard me out…If you would still like to go darker, I won’t call the makeup cops, I’ll even cheer you on and give you a little secret 🤫 color 205 is a great “tan” color- without the orange, so if you blend down all the way (and don’t forget those ears) you should be good to go! Now for setting powder: is your face just looking CAKEY no matter what you do?? If you just raised your hand, I would switch to a light-er-weight setting powder and applying by dusting a small amount on with a brush instead of patting that generous amount on with that powder puff. (Keep in mind, a puff will help your makeup to last longer, but if we’re dealing with every-day makeup, I think beauty comes before a 48-hr bullet-proof look. )

Now for bronzer!
Please, don’t ditch the bronzer! But using a bronzer that isn’t too orangy is going to be key in working in the color without looking funny. This one is my all-time favorite! Mineral Sheer Bronzer — Rio de Janeiro

Now for blush. Very much needed color. Warning: use to your advantage ☺️. First off- consider either ditching your powder blushes and swapping for a cream blush or using a cream blush with a bit of powder blush as a “topper”

320 for a more dressed (and autumn look) or 340 for a more young , but still cool-toned- looks
Now for that glow. Winter makeup is all about keeping the glow, the hydration, the youth -look. My favorite is the Saphyre one because it is so finely milled that the “sparkle” is completely undetectable, it’s just like a subtly wet, glazed donut- minus the sprinkles. (Pro tip- apply before blush so your blush doesn’t lose its color from the highlight, and also to give that glow-from-within look

Lips.
Let’s be real. Your lips are screaming! Please, I’m giving them a voice and begging you, you will not be disappointed. The GirlActik lip balms are a LIFE CHANGER. I was NOT looking to stock lip balms. I’m telling you, I really wasn’t. When they had me try them on though, there was no turning back. No brainer. We ordered HUNDREDS. Whoever has the privilege of stumbling on them in-store, knows what I’m talking about. Lip pillows is not the word. And they come in gorgeous shades. Is it going to last the whole day? probably not. But they are small enough to keep in your pocket or purse and you can reapply after lunch. Thank me later. GirlActik Jello Lip Balm
